With Cinco de Mayo inching ever closer, the spicy tastes of the south are already teasing the palate. While the office might not be the place for a batch of Beer & Tequila Carnitas, your kitchen and a group of friends most certainly is. Have at it and let us know how they turn out!
Cinco de Mayo is nearly here, and we're still going through Valentine's Day chocolates. This means a few things: A) 2010 is flying by, B) It's time to make up some delicious Mexican food, and C) it's time to throw these chocolates out. If you have some free time this weekend, polish up on your south-of-the-border cooking skills with a batch of tamales. Now, what do we bring to our Cinco de Mayo office party?
Tuesday is upon us once again which means the delicacy that is a good taco is in order. Taking a new turn tonight, though, with the tradition dish, we decided to stuff those tacos in a pocket versus a shell. They almost look as fun to eat as they are to say 10 times fast.
A member of the hard-working WSi team is headed out tomorrow for a much needed vacation. And while we all will remain in the office green with envy as she soaks up the rays in Playa Del Carmen, we thought we could at least send her off with a recipe indicative to the land on which she is about to step foot. Enjoy the Poc-Chuc and bring us back something nice! Safe travels!
Celebrity chefs make it look so easy, don't they? The comedian, Brian Regan, has a bit about cooking shows and how he could, too, be a top chef if everything was laid out nicely before he started cooking a meal. While we may not be making any Food Network appearances anytime soon (unless it's in the background of Diners, Drive-ins and Dives), Rick Bayless wants you to think you're capable of making his signature chili rellenos at home.
