Great Workouts To Do At Home

Great Workouts To Do At Home

Yesterday we discussed a few simple ways to adjust your diet to adhere to a "lose weight" New Years resolution and start shaving inches off that waistline. Today we'll delve into the world of starting a new workout routine to start getting some tone. We're all feeling the strain of this economic time, so shelling out over $100/month to workout with a bunch of sweaty dudes powerlifting 900 pounds may not sound so appealing. Thanks to the Internet and it's infinite supply of information (all of it true, I'm sure :)...) you can find a workout routine that is right for you. Here's a simple yet effective 15-minute routine to kick off your 2009 resolution.

Following the Resolutions.

Following the Resolutions.

According to USA.gov, the top New Year's resolution is to lose weight and get fit. For some, it's merely getting back into jogging or going to the gym more. For others, the task is daunting: cutting back on favorite foods, quitting smoking, walk/bike to work, etc. WSi wants you to know that if, indeed, your 2009 resolution was to get fit, we're here to help. Losing weight, toning up, and feeling healthy can actually be fun. And since January 18th - 24th is Healthy Weight Week, we thought there's no time like the present to get going on this!

The Color Test

A brain waker-upper for today! These are the things we're supposed to do to remove the cholesterol around our brain & try to slow up Alzheimer. Here's a great little test. You may not get 100% on the first go, but keep trying until you do. It'll wak you up and get your keen thinking and decisivness in order...at least for the day. Hint: It takes an average of 5 tries to get to 100%. Follow the directions. It's harder than it seems, as it should be!

Does an Apple a Day Really Keep the Doctor Away?

Obviously eating an apple a day provides your body with all-natural goodness, vitamins, and a slew of healthy ingredients. ONLY eating an apple day, you may suffer from malnutrition, though, so keep that in mind.

With the excitement and anticipation of ringing in a joyous 2009, it's easy to get caught up in excess. We're not here to lecture anyone. All we're doing is saying be safe tonight and use your best judgement. However, if you feel that even your best judgement might be tested tonight, make sure beforehand to go out with either a sober friend or confirmed plans you will be safe by the end of the night.
